The Dining CluB
Kelly Keogh &
James Gabriel Martin
Welcome to The Dining Club, a hospitality experience that traverses past and present and is deeply rooted in a sense of place. At the helm are chefs Kelly Keogh from Whitestown House and James Gabriel Martin from Leviathan, collaborating to curate dining events that transcend the ordinary. With a focus on seasonality, heritage, and the art of storytelling, each event is meticulously designed around a theme that unfolds through changing menus, entertainment, and thoughtfully crafted table settings.
Whitestown House was designed for entertaining. We invite you to join our intimate and engaging dining events that see chefs Kelly Keogh and James Gabriel Martin craft dishes inspired by the time of year, utilising the best locally sourced seasonal ingredients to hand. Guests are welcomed into the drawing room for pre-dinner cocktails, canapés and music. The legendary long table in the dining room can accommodate up to 20 guests, and by its very design encourages connection and conversation.
In the winter months, candlelight and crackling open fires bathe all of the rooms with a warm welcoming glow. In the spring and summer months we host woodland gatherings beneath an ancient fern-leaved beech tree and have picnics on the lawn.
Our wine pairings are carefully selected by master Sommelier Nisea Doddy. We also offer truly special handcrafted non-alcoholic drinks by Majken Bech Bailey for our guests to enjoy.
We host our Dining Club events eight weekends a year only, all are ticketed, details of previous and upcoming events are outlined below. We also host the Dining Club for private parties and groups of between 12-20 people. If you have a special occasion and would like to take over Whitestown House for an exclusive Dining Club event, please email us below with your enquiries.

Autumn Equinox September 26th & 27th
As the sun crosses the celestial equator, marking the balance between light and dark, we gather at Whitestown House to honour Cónocht an Fhómhair, the Autumn Equinox, a time of reflection, gratitude, and celebration.
In ancient times it was an important period for agriculture, as communities reaped the benefits of their summer labour. The equinox is seen as a time to offer thanks for the harvest and prepare for the coming winter months through feasting, music and storytelling, highlighting the connection between the people and the land.
Our seven-course tasting menu champions seasonality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing, reflecting the bounty of the land around us. Each dish is crafted with reverence for our ingredients and the people behind them. Wines, thoughtfully paired by sommelier Nisea Doddy, complement the journey, while handcrafted non-alcoholic pairings by Majken Bech Bailey offer a vibrant alternative.
Gather with us at our legendary long table, in our home steeped in the warmth of Irish country hospitality. Celebrate nature’s gifts, connect with others, and embrace the turning of the seasons through food, stories, and shared moments.
Whitestown House welcomes you to unwind, feast, and find your place in the rhythm of the earth.
Samhain October 25th & 25th
Step beyond the ordinary and into the flickering candlelight of Whitestown House, where ancient traditions and modern dining meet for a night unlike any other.
Rooted in the Celtic festival of Samhain, the original marking of the year’s end, this is a time when the veil between worlds grows thin, and the harvest’s final gifts are gathered in. It is a moment to honour both what has passed and what is to come.
Our seven-course tasting menu is inspired by the firelit feasts of our ancestors, showcasing seasonal Irish produce roasted, charred, and steeped in folklore. Every dish tells a story, connecting you to the land, its cycles, and those who came before us.
Join us for an evening of ritual and revelry, where food is memory, and the table becomes a place to gather, honour, and celebrate.

The Darker Half November 28th & 29th
The transitional period between autumn and winter has always held great importance in Ireland, dating back to our pagan past. The welcoming of the "darker half" of the year was always of great significance, feasting, tales and tradition abound. Not only does this time celebrate the bounty of the harvest, it is also said that the division between this world and the otherworld is at its thinnest, allowing spirits to pass through.
Join us at the historic Whitestown House for the final Dining Club of 2025. An intimate seven-course feast by candlelight, inspired by Irish folklore and the rhythms of the season. Our menu showcases the best of this season. Local ingredients charred, roasted, and cooked over fire, create dishes that hold ancient meaning and tell tales. Drinks pairings expertly crafted to compliment each course.
Come together at our long table to mark this turning point, give thanks, and share in the warmth of food, fire, and company.
